Blisscare offers care services, and to this end provides caregivers to perform activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, assisting with amputation or transferring, toileting, feeding, providing medical reminders, and reading either in the comfort of your own home (home based care) or at an institution eg, old age home, hospice, hospitals, clinics, surgeries etc

It is based in Germiston but has caregivers scattered around most parts of Gauteng.
Blisscare was founded in 2011 after have realised the growing number of patients needing care in their own homes and in health facilities.

BLISSCARE HOME NURSING SERVICES
Providing caregivers to enable patients to be cared for in the comfort of their own home
(home based care) or at a facility.
Assisted living/ Midcare
We care for a person who is starting to require a little assistance. Generally the person is in her/his old age and will no longer be coping with the daily requirements of life. They may also need some assistance in washing or with the taking of daily medication.
Frail Care (Dementia and Alzheimer’s)
This is for a person who would require a lot of nursing, he/she may need help with dressing, washing, and toileting may not be bed ridden. A frail person may be physical ok but mentally frail and requires constant supervision e.g. senile patients, dementia and Alzheimer patients.
Post-operative care
A person requiring this type of care has probably spent some time in hospital as a result of illness or an operation and is requiring care. The person will be medically stable and no longer to be in hospital for example after a stroke, fracture, pneumonias, heart attack, surgery etc.
Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Assistance
We provide support and assistance when you are in need of help with basic activities of daily living. That is cleaning, tidying, bed making, laundry, answering the phone, meal preparation, walk the family dog
Disability care
Whether a person suffers from a physical impairment or mental disorder, our caregivers enhance self-determination and self-respect by providing individualized care and support. Some patients will require assistance with transport, mobility and exercise routine or assistance in housekeeping, laundry, cooking bathing, grooming medication administration and emergency monitoring.
Companionship

Telephone support
Telephone support is often used by health care professionals to provide supportive services such as counselling and education. It is also a useful tool to provide social support, to check on the person and provide treatment reminders.

How We Work
We would firstly take a comprehensive job specification from you. From this we would
present you with a short list of candidates. This could happen in our offices, or if you
prefer a facilitator could bring prospective employees to your home or place of
business for you to interview.
The facilitator will either assist you with the interview, or simply be available to
answer any questions. The facilitator will make sure that the duties are clearly defined
and that the candidates are suitably able and willing to perform them. (All references
and contact numbers of referees will be made available.)
When you have selected an employee, we would assist you with the contract. In terms
of the contract your new employee would be subject to a probationary period of up to
90 days. The contract falls within the parameters of the Basic Conditions of
Employment Act and clearly outlines all duties and obligations for both parties.
Our facilitators will be present when the contract is drawn up and make sure that the
new employee clearly understands what is expected of him or herself.
Permanent Placement Charges
For Permanent placements Blisscare Home services operates as any other recruitment
agency and introduces you to suitable candidates and charges a fee
Our fee is payable when the worker starts. This equates to 14% of annual
salary, covered by a 3 month warranty, (see terms and conditions)
This fee is payable by the employer. Employment of a candidate referred by
Blisscare Home services will be deemed to be acceptance of our terms and

Should the employee not prove satisfactory then we will be pleased to provide
a replacement at no further charge during the warranty period of 90 days from
date of placement.
Permanent Placement
At Blisscare Home services we have strict selection criteria, taking into consideration the worker's past
with special reference to honesty, reliability and attitude as well as professionalism.( Of the
approximately 20 people who come into each of the Blisscare Home services offices each day, perhaps
only 2, or 3 will be registered.
References are not only checked and scrutinized, but investigated as well. Referees are closely
questioned and their truthfulness tested with the experience of years and years of registering and
placing Care workers.
. In addition we assist our clients with a placement package consisting of everything from the contract,
an induction form, pay slip book, and other information designed to make the employment process as
easy and painless as possible.
Flexible Placement
Depending on the individual needs of the client, care may be provided from 3 hours
•Nights & Saturdays will be paid at X 1.50 day rate,Sundays&Public Holidays will be paid at X 2.0 day rate
•Day Rates are paid on hours worked from 0700hrs to 1900hrsNight rates are hours worked from 1900hrs to 0700hrs
•Public Holiday Rates are paid on hours worked from Midnight on the start of the holiday to Midnight at the end of the
•Holiday- with the exception of Christmas Eve and New year’s Eve where Public Holidays will be paid on both days from 1600hrs to Midnight at the end of the Holiday period
